In French, they have learnt about the different ways of living in the Medieval Age. Here you can see some photos of the projects they have created. We hope you enjoy it!
In this third term for the second year of ESO, the challenge was to shoot a video showing healthy habits of living and the discovery of certain types of food brought from America, as well as showing sports, drinks, statistics in Maths or physical activities to help being fit. The commercial is sometimes hard to record because it has to follow instructions from Spanish about the characteristics and duration and some groups got really long videos. We will try to solve this problem in future editions.
En este tercer trimestre para el curso de segundo de la ESO, el reto consistía en la grabación de un anuncio de televisión mostrando hábitos de vida saludables, combinados con estadísticas en matemáticas, deportes en inglés, bebidad o actividades físicas que nos ayudan a mantenernos en forma. El anuncio es a veces difícil de encajar por su duración, ya que tiene que seguir unos patrones concretos que se dan en lengua española. Intentaremos resolver estas dificultades en futuras ediciones.
These are examples of how our annual gymkhana took place this year for our groups of the fourth year of ESO. They really had fun going from station to station where they had to answer the questions they had prepared for English, French, Spanish and History, and of course, in the middle they had to perform physical challenges that they had also suggested. It was an unforgettable class indeed and one group from every class got an extra mark for their bilingual unit for answering all the questions and getting the first to the finish line. Congratulations!
Como podéis comprobar, este año repetimos nuestra gymkhana de cuarto de ESO en la que el alumnado tuvo que contestar preguntas de las diferentes materias yendo de estación en estación y por supuesto mientras tanto tenía que realizar pruebas físicas que ellos mismos habian propuesto en sus grupos correspondientes. Sin duda, fue una clase inolvidable y un grupo de cada cuarto ha conseguido subir un punto en la nota global de la unidad integrada por hacerlo tan bien al contestar las cuestiones y llegar en los primeros puestos al finalizar el recorrido. ¡Enhorabuena!

Y aquí tenéis la colaboración con la materia de Plástica, algo nuevo este curso, relacionado con los polígonos nazaríes: As you know, this academic year we have a new collaboration with the subject of Art throughout the study of these geometric shapes that you can find in the Alhambra.
In the fourth year of ESO we dealt with a new topic this academic course related to the press and how to create different pieces of news, opinion articles or Art reviews on a digital format. The students worked really well creating their Jarifa newspaper online adding wonderful pictures and this year, they will have to face new challenging too. En cuarto de ESO trabajamos un nuevo tema este curso relacionado con la prensa y cómo crear distintos tipos de noticias, artículos de opinión o críticas de arte en formato digital. El alumnado trabajó muy bien creando su periódico online añadiendo maravillosas fotos y este año tendrán que enfrentarse a nuevos e increíbles retos también. In this second term, we have worked on 1898 topic in the fourth year of ESO. The final project was a gymkhana that the students carried out at the school gym with the supervision of the P.E teacher, Gracia. The students went through different stations divided by the subjects that take part in the programme, answering the questions and doing some physical exercises that the teacher suggested. Thanks to all!
En este segundo trimestre, hemos trabajado el tema de 1898 en cuarto de la ESO. El proyecto final fue una gymkhana que el alumnado llevó a cabo en el gimnasio con la supervisión de la profesora de EF, Gracia. El alumnado fue pasando por las distintas estaciones que representaban las distintas materias bilingües que forman parte del programa, contestando las preguntas y haciendo algunos ejercicios físicos que la profesora sugirió que montaran. ¡Muchas gracias por la participación!
Our yearly visit to Gibralfaro and Alcazaba has become a tradition. As usual, we have been working about castles in the second course of ESO and finally, we finished the project visiting the two monuments. We also had time to go to Burger King or to go to the street market placed in the park of Malaga.
Finally, our first bilingual promotion has reached the fourth year of ESO. As usual, they carried out such nice work that we hope that you enjoy watching it.

During the third term, our students of the Second Course of ESO have been working about Healthy habits of living. We have learnt about sports, a healthy diet, American and Asian food and even how to create mathematical graphs. Durante el tercer trimestre, nuestros estudiantes de segundo de la ESO han estado trabajando sobre los hábitos de vida saludables. In our
efforts to improve multiculturalism and spread tolerance in our school, the integrated unit corresponding to the Second Course is based on the Arabian Culture. The students
have been learning about Arabian poetry, algebra, art and music. They have also studied Washington Irving’s work, who was fascinated by
the Alhambra of Granada and had the privilege of living and writing his
famous Tales of the Alhambra there.

After completing the integrated unit Travelling, Holidays and Adventure in the 3rd year of ESO, students created a web page, a blog or a Powerpoint about a journey to a country with human right problems which included descriptions in the three languages, a budget, conversations in French and citizenship issues.
Tras completar la unidad integrada de 3º, los estudiantes crearon una página web, un blog o presentación Powerpoint sobre un viaje a un país con problemas de derechos humanos que incluyera descripciones en las tres lenguas, un presupuesto, conversaciones en francés y temas de ciudadanía.
In the integrated unit for the 2nd year of ESO, which was about the medieval age, students did projects with parts of the castle and mathematical measures and they also had the opportunity of visiting the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro castle, so they really had a great time completing a global vision of this historical time.
En la unidad integrada para segundo de ESO, que fue sobre la época medieval, los estudiantes hicieron sus proyectos con las partes del castillo en las distintas lenguas y el cálculo del perímetro en matemáticas y también tuvieron la oportunidad de completar su visión global de este período histórico y se lo pasaron muy bien.
On the European Day of Languages students created trees with the Indoeuropean Languages in the 1st year of ESO. In the 2nd year they had a debate and worked online with palindromes, tongue twisters, the longest words and different translations and in the 3rd year of ESO they watched a video Why languages matter? and after a brainstorming they wrote a poster.
El día Europeo de las lenguas los estudiantes crearon árboles con las lenguas indoeuropeas en 1º de ESO. En 2º de ESO tuvieron un debate y trabajaron online con palíndromos, trabalenguas, las palabras más largas en diferentes lenguas y diferentes traducciones y en 3º de ESO vieronvideo sobre Why languages matter? y con una lluvia de ideas crearon su propio póster.
¡¡¡¡AQUÍ TENÉIS ALGUNOS DE LOS PROJECTOS QUE LOS ALUMNOS DE 2º DE ESO HAN REALIZADO UNA VEZ TERMINADA LA UNIDAD DE LA EDAD MEDIA!!!
